| MRV Products OptiSwitch Master 1600  The OptiSwitch Master? series (OSM) is an IP/MPLS modular high-performance platform for carriers, ISPs and data service providers, designed as an intelligent Edge system between the Access and the Metro networks. The systems are engineered to serve as subscribers' edge routers that connect all IP, L2 and MPLS subscribers to the services and take part in the Internet Ethernet IP backbone. OSM-1600 has non-blocking 20 Gbps switch fabric. All the components of the OSM-1600 are hot-swappable and front loadable in a design enabling the installation of two systems, back to back in a standard 19" Telco rack. The chassis offers carrier-class reliability with 2 Master/Slave Routing Controller modules (RCM-1600), fully hot-swappable interface modules with localized forwarding and routing processing, N+1 hot-swap and load sharing power supplies. The chassis offers four slots, each hosting 4 modules (EM-2006xx). Each slot has non-blocking 5 Gbps bus connection that is hardware-ready for customized pluggable devices. For special application, the Multi-Service slot offers dedicated hosting space with two 100 Mbps Ethernet connections to the switch fabric and power set required by SBC platforms. |
