The sides and rings are wrapped with fiberglass mesh inside and out.Tapered enclosures have sides that flare out. Advantages include: more interior space in the enclosure, resistance to frost heave and efficiency of shipping (tapered enclosures typically nest allowing more to fit on a pallet than straight sided enclosures.Fiberglass enclosures have fiberglass sides with cast on polymer concrete rings and covers. They are available rectangular or round, and many are available with tapered sides. These enclosures offer our highest strength to weight ratios and meet or exceed the same load performances as enclosures made entirely of polymer concrete.

OSP- Outside Plant Fiber Splice Vaults

Telect’s Advanced Fiber Splice Vault (ASV) provides a lockable, light-weight, metal enclosure for isolating splices between Outside Plant (OSP) cable to IntraFacility Cable (IFC). They are available in three sizes to accommodate from 144 fiber terminations, 288 fiber terminations, 576 fiber terminations up to 864 fiber optic splices. ASVs mount to interior walls or unistruts nearby OSP cable entrance. Cables enter the ASV through knockouts on top, bottom, and/or sides. They can be clamped internally and where necessary grounded to bus bars.

Pedlock BDO Series Pedestals are a key element of any FTTP solution. In both greenfield and brownfield fiber deployments, BDO Pedestals provide easy access to branch and drop splice while protecting and storing loose buffer tube fiber optic cables. The exclusive BDO bracket allows technicians to mount splice trays and splitters securely with ample access to perform in-field splicing.
BDO Pedestals feature a non-metallic construction that offers super OSP protection against floods, fire, dirt, insects and impact. An expanded-capacity split base is designed to easily install around conduit-fed cable bundles in new construction (excludes 14” diameter pedestals). BDO pedestals are an ideal solution for rehabilitation of metallic enclosures, and protection of co-located copper/fiber distribution points
