F/UTP Category 6A Outdoor Double Jacket Cable
Proterial Cable America has a long history of designing and manufacturing advanced copper and fiber optic communication cables. Our Category 6A Outside Plant (OSP), cables are robust and designed to offer reliable performance regardless of the conditions in which they were installed. The outer jacket is made from a tough polyethylene to protect the cable core from water and the harsh sun. A gel-filled inner core prevents the migration of any water that may have breached the outer layers of protection. They are designed to support applications such as Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet as well as deliver power to outdoor Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices. Our Category 6A outdoor cables, like all other PCA copper and fiber communication cables, are made at the Manchester, New Hampshire facility.

F/UTP Drybit Category 6 Indoor-Outdoor Cable
Conduit that originates indoors but passes through or under a concrete slab is often subject to water infiltration. National Electric Code (NEC) 2017 Edition, Article 100 and the BICSI Telecommunication Distribution Methods Manual (TDMM) define these environments as wet locations since the slab and the associated conduit are subject to saturation by water. Standard plenum or riser rated cables can’t be used in these situations since water will have a catastrophic effect on both their electrical and physical performance. The typical solution has been to use outdoor cable in the conduit and then transition to the appropriately rated cable type once indoors. Drybit™ Category 6 cable from Proterial Cable America eliminates the time and cost associated with transitioning from outdoor cable to indoor-rated cable.
