Multi-Service Access

Today's converging network is often a mix of TDM, Ethernet, and DSL protocols which support voice, video and data applications.

Telco Systems offers solutions that enable service providers to offer their business customers a seamless migration path from TDM-based services to enhanced triple-play services. This family of single-box solutions breaks down the barriers of voice or data-only, TDM or IP-only networks and opens up new revenue streams.

T-Marc® 300 Series
Ethernet Service Demarcation and Extension Solution

The T-Marc® Ethernet Service Demarcation and Extension product line from Telco Systems provides intelligent and remotely managed, multiport customer-located equipment (CLE) to deliver managed converged services (voice, video and data) over virtual Ethernet, MPLS/VPLS and IP networks.

The T-Marc allows service providers to deliver multiple services on separate customer interfaces, including multiple services over a single customer interface. Because each service is isolated, providers can troubleshoot each individual service without impacting others. Applications are prioritized over different traffic-engineered paths, multi-level Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) is used to measure and ensure provisioned Service Level Agreements (SLA), and security controls are embedded to ensure protection against denial-ofservice attacks.

Advanced Layer 2 Networking using Telco Systems’ AccessEthernet™ allows total flexibility in deployment, provisioning, and delivery of Ethernet services. Physical and virtual networking capabilities provide automated address management and discovery, bandwidth profiles, advanced traffic classes, and complete control over how subscriber traffic is transported across a service provider’s network.

T-Metro
Carrier Ethernet Multiservice Access Platform

The T-Metro is a feature-rich multiservice access device, designed to increase service provider revenues and deliver a complete portfolio of voice data and video services. The T-Metro family of products supports Wide variety of technologies including Ethernet, Circuit Emulation (CES), MPLS, OAM (operations, administration and maintenance) tools and Hierarchical QoS (H-QoS). This rich combination of technologies allows service providers to deliver enhanced service offering while maintaining competitive pricing.

The T-Metro provides access to advanced data services such as virtual private LAN services (VPLS), virtual private wire services (VPWS) and IP virtual private network (IP-VPN) services. In addition, the T-Metro product line enables service providers to carry native TDM traffic transparently across the packet switched network (PSN), using various circuit emulation techniques. The TDM traffic is encapsulated in Ethernet or IP frames to emulate the functionality of a TDM circuit, ensuring that all original feature-set is preserved.

The T-Metro’s unique combination of features, technologies and manageability allow service providers to extend the service intelligence to the customer edge. Doing so, the T-Metro allows service providers to offer and maintain advanced SLA offerings to their customers, thus providing them competitive advantage.

Designed for Metro Ethernet services
Convergence of voice, data and video services over a single Ethernet-based infrastructure, is transforming the way enterprises and service providers conduct their businesses. The T-Metro’s versatility, advanced feature-set, wire-speed performance and robust design makes it an ideal convergence platform for metro applications, either in a bridged metro Ethernet or MPLS environment.

The T-Metro allows service providers to offer seamless access to converged services networks thus enhances their competitiveness. Bringing service intelligence to the customer’s doorstep The H-QoS functionality provided by the T-Metro allows service providers to deploy versatile and innovative service offerings. H-QoS provides maximal control over bandwidth shared by multiple services. H-QOS guarantees isolation and fairness between services and customers. Combined with a rich OAM features and elaborate MPLS capabilities, service providers are now able to extend intelligent services to the customer’s edge and offer higher-margin SLA-based services.

Compact, Cost-Effective Metro-Ethernet Access Rings
Deployment of Metro-Ethernet rings becomes increasingly popular due to its efficiency, costs savings, and flexibility. Ring architecture allows for multiple services to be consolidated, transported, and drop/inserted as needed. The inherent redundancy, resiliency and re-routing capabilities of ring technology results in increased reliability and high network availability.

The T-Metro offers an Ethernet ring solution with recovery time of less than 50ms in either bridged metro Ethernet environment or MPLS environment. T-Metro’s Ethernet ring implementation is fully standard based therefore it is fully interoperable with other standard-based products deployed in the same ring.

T-Metro can be used for resilient access rings or hub & spoke topologies both in Ethernet or MPLS transport

T-Marc® 250 Series
Ethernet and Circuit Emulation Service Demarcation Solution

Telco Systems’ T-Marc™ 250 is a family of cost-effective, fully-managed carrier Ethernet demarcation devices that provide service termination and demarcation over service providers’ packet-based networks. As a multi-port customer-located intelligent demarcation device, the T-Marc delivers managed converged services (voice, video and data) over virtual Ethernet in a metro Ethernet network.
Advanced Layer 2 Networking using Telco Systems’ AccessEthernet™ allows total flexibility in deployment and delivery of Ethernet services.

Physical and logical channel networking capabilities provide bandwidth profiles, advanced traffic classes, and complete control over how subscriber traffic is transported and managed across a service provider’s network.

Circuit Emulation Services over Packet
The T-Marc-254 utilizes AccessTDM™ to deliver legacy TDM over Ethernet enabling service providers to extendtheir reach and addressable customer base to include both voice and data without sacrificing revenues from existing TDM services.

Based on Circuit Emulation Services over Packet (CESoP) standards for T-Line (T1/E1) services, the T-Marc protects users legacy equipment investments - PBX’s, routers with T1/E1 interfaces - while cost effectively enabling Ethernet service providers the ability to offer revenue generating services over dedicated, managed next generation packet networks.

Advanced Networking Features
The T-Marc offers a rich management toolset for multi-vendor interoperability in element, network and service management to reduce operational expenses (OPEX) and scale management to large access networks.

By augmenting existing IP/SNMP-based management frameworks with IEEE/ITU-T OAM protocols and MEF frameworks, the T-Marc family provides proactive health and status updates on network topology and application behavior. The T-Marc supports standards-based management to enable service provers to use any off-the-shelf management system to manage a T-Marc device as an independent network element with its own IP address.

Telco Systems’ BiNOSCenter management system provides both standards-based and extended standards-based management. To reduce operational expenses and scale management to large access networks, existing standards-based SNMP management is coupled with a secure IP-based proxy management solution to provide proactive health and status information on individual links and
connections.

Enhanced troubleshooting tools include optical power monitoring, quality of equipment monitoring, and quality of line monitoring to enable fast fault identification that minimizes the need for expensive truck rolls.
