The Vanguard 340 router series is a next generation IP/VPN platform targeted at small/medium enterprise customers. With its modular and flexible architecture, the VG 340 router series provides a cost effective e-business platform for enterprise customers, thus reducing their overall Wide Area Networking (WAN) costs.

With features such as multi-service voice, video and data integration, high-speed broadband Internet connectivity and a comprehensive security solution, the VG 340 is the ideal networking product of choice.
The VG 340 router series comes in two models: 1) the VG 340, supporting two modular slots and a single 10/100Base-T port and 2) the high performance VG 342, which also supports two modular slots but is also equipped with two 10/100 Base-T ports as a standard option. The modular slots can be used to support numerous applications using a variety of interfaces available to both models.

The VG 340 router series is also a fully fledged Voice over IP (VoIP) and Voice over Frame Relay (VoFR) gateway, providing enterprise customers with a seamless migration path from existing telephone infrastructure to IP services such as IP telephony.

The VG 340 router series supports DSL, ISDN, Frame Relay, and leased line technologies, thus offering enterprise customers a flexible choice among the most common options for connectivity.
