The Starfighter Xpress comes from a heritage of proven and established in-line splice enclosures that are tested in accordance to Telcordia GR-771-Core and Multilink’s Six Sigma standards. The Starfighter Xpress splice terminal closure is the choice for FTTX greenfield, brownfield and future fiber plant expansions. Its versatile design allows for field expansions from a standard 48 to 96 count splice capacity, or 96 to 192 ribbon fiber with the simple addition of merging an additional Starfighter Xpress base and cover that has a removable sealed window opening. The cover of each Starfighter Xpress can be interchangeable with a flat cover or a drop port cover. The Starfighter Xpress can be fitted in the field as well with a patch and splice kit that can hold up to 24 patch and splices per Starfighter Xpress enclosure. Additional drop capacity can be achieved through adding grommet inserts to the cable entry grommets end plate housing holders. There are over 18 grommet inserts to choose from. The drop port cover can be outfitted with Multilink’s Surelight™ SC/LC adapters and or the Scout adapters and Optitaps™. Multilink’s Starfighter Xpress has the ability to grow with the fast changing needs of your fiber plant.

The Starfighter 4000-D Dome Splice Enclosure is designed for above or below grade applications and supports up to 6 or more cable entries using multi-port grommets. The enclosure has a unique gasketed Split End Plate system that allows for mid-span cable access up to 1.125” in diameter. Branch or lateral cables can be added to any one of four compression seal entry ports. The enclosure requires no special tools, adhesives or mastics for installation. The unibody slack storage basket and hinged splice trays allow for maximum fiber storage and access capabilities for fiber and fiber bundles. The 4000-D is a large capacity splice enclosure that can be used in aerial, pedestal, underground, wall and strand applications.

Our dome enclosures require no special tools, adhesives or mastics for installation. All major hardware is factory installed to allow for quick field installation, while universal grommets and compression style lateral or branch cable seals make setup a breeze. The OTE (Optical Terminal Enclosure) is designed to support the splicing of optical drops and traditional splicing in aerial, pole, or wall mount applications. The unit is an inline enclosure with four ports on each end. The OTE is constructed of a durable and impact-resistant polyethylene material specifically formulated for outside plant environments. The unit can support express cabling as well as the addition of branch or lateral cabling. When used as a drop splicing enclosure, the OTE will support a variety of drop designs and provide the environmental sealing and strain relief required. Up to 36 drops can be supported in FTTH applications. The enclosure is supplied with all of the hardware required to seal and secure the express/feeder cables, and a (12) fiber splice tray.
