The GMP SideWinder Trailer-Mounted Fiber Optic Puller has been designed to meet the requirements of pulliing underground fiber optic cables including high-density fiber by using a 42″ diameter capstan to provide a controlled force to the pulling rope or tape.
At 1500 lbs., the unit is easily pulled by a standard pickup truck.
The storage reel is removable and can be split to enable removal of rope.
The storage reel can also be disengaged to free-spool allowing the pulling line to be redeployed using
our line blowing equipment.
The capstan can be rotated to 30° on a swivel bracket to allow figure eighting the cable.
The puller utilizes rear props which are extended out of the chassis to provide greater stability.
The SideWinder has all essential controls located together within the operators reach.
Quick disconnect hydraulics allows the operator to utilize the SideWinders hydraulic output to power
a number of number of accessories like a hydraulic dewatering pump.
The unit is powered by a commercial grade electric start Honda GX390® gasoline engine
