MaxCell® is designed to adapt to the shape of cables placed inside, significantly reducing the wasted space typically associated with rigid innerduct. When you combine MaxCell with a reusable termination bag, you can achieve cost and time savings during cable deployments.
Reusable termination bags are capable of creating an airtight seal in innerducts with diameters ranging from 2 inches to 5 inches. These bags feature patented inflatable ADE/V sealing elements made of a laminated foil initially developed for aircraft applications. To seal the innerduct, the sealing element is placed around the cables and then inflated to the required air pressure using a sturdy metal tire valve, ensuring complete sealing. When it’s time to remove the sealing element, the air pressure can be easily released through the same tire valve. This allows for incremental cable deployments and ultimately reduces the overall installation cost.
– The leakage rate of MaxCell is exceptionally low, measuring only 2.7 mbarl/year.
– It has a service life of 20 years, effectively preventing gas diffusion.
– MaxCell can withstand a water column height of up to 16 feet, equivalent to 7 psi.
– It is resistant to chemicals with a pH range from 2 to 12.
