The SpliceMate (FSM-11) is the world’s smallest and most portable fusion splicer, designed to meet the challenges posed by today’s fiber networks. Fitting in the palm of your hand, the SpliceMate is smart and reliable enough to be used with confidence by inexperienced operators.SpliceMate’s advanced intelligence features include dual-camera fiber inspection to insure the splice is right, and auto arc calibration...an industry first. It’s easy to operate and quickly makes low loss splices with all common types of optical fibers up to 4-fiber ribbons. The SpliceMate is available with a variety of powering options including a battery pack and adapters to work with AC or DC power sources.

The SpliceMate D900 has a unique design that significantly improves installation and repair operations for any 900µm application. Ideally suited for tactical fiber optic cable assemblies' (TFOCA) repair needs, the D900 is the industry-standard for simultaneously splicing two 900µm optical fibers. Its user-friendly graphical interface and automated features make it suitable for those with limited splicing experience.

Also available now is a version of the FSM-17S utilizing a fiber holder system, making the splicing process extremely simple for inexperienced technicians. Both models quickly attach to the newly redesigned ASW-02 workstation making, field portability a breeze. With the introduction of the FSM-17S, AFL Fujikura Ltd. offers the most sophisticated and capable mini fusion splicer ever. The technology embodied in the FSM-17S provides unprecedented utility in harsh outdoor splicing environments. Both temperature and pressure compensation are provided in order to assure proper arc conditions in extreme environments. In addition, the wind protector assures a stable arc in cross winds in excess of 30mph. Ease of splicing is assured by the ergonomic design. A 5" color anti-reflective LCD monitor with an unmatched 110X fiber magnification ensures excellent visibility during splicing operations..

AFL FSM 45 F Fusion Splicer

Today’s research and factory splicing applications require a tremendous amount of flexibility. Fujikura’s FSM-45F splicer is designed with both of these applications in mind.The FSM-45F splicer is designed to handle dissimilar fiber combinations with ease and splices various types of fibers ranging from < 80µm to 400µm clad diameter fibers. The FSM-45F splicer features Fujikura’s patented Sweep™ arc technology to minimize splice loss between different combinations.Since the transition from research to production is so critical, this splicer has been designed to be compatible with AFL Telecommunications’ SpliceMaster and SpliceLab software packages, and a full set of LabVIEW® drivers, enabling a wide variety of additional functions, including splicing based upon test meter feedback (attenuation, polarization, etc.). Communication is through a USB interface.
