SCP Category 7 (Cat7) S/FTP 1000MHz cables meet ISO/IEC 11801 Ed2 CLASS F standards for Category 7 performance.Each Cat7 S/FTP cable is performance optimized with 4 balanced twisted pairs, 23 AWG PE foam insulated solid bare copper conductors. Each pair is AL Foil shielded eliminating cross talk; and an overall tinned copper braid shield that provides exceptional interference protection. Each Cat7 cable is constructed to create a round and flexible cable for easy pulling and stripping of the low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) cable jacket.
The Cat7 S/FTP cable is packaged on a 1000 ft/ 305 meter wooden spool/drum.

Cat 7 features even more strict specifications for crosstalk and system noise than Cat 6. To achieve this, shielding has been added for individual wire pairs and the cable as a whole. Category 7 is recognized for all the country organizations members of ISO. The Cat 7 cable standard has been created to allow 10 Gigabit Ethernet over 100 m of copper cabling (also, 10-Gbit/s Ethernet now is typically run on Cat 6a). The cable contains four twisted copper wire pairs, just like the earlier standards. Cat 7 can be terminated either with 8P8C compatible GG45 electrical connectors which incorporate the 8P8C standard or with TERA connectors. When combined with GG45 or TERA connectors, Cat 7 cable is rated for transmission frequencies of up to 600 MHz. Our Category 7a (or Augmented Category 7) is defined at frequencies up to 1000 MHz, suitable for multiple applications in a single cable (just like all other categories) including CATV (862 MHz).Simulation results have shown that 40 Gigabit Ethernet is possible at 50 meters and 100 Gigabit Ethernet is possible at 15 meters. Unlike scationed- verified CAT 5e and CAT 6 standards CAT 7 is "based" on a 600- 1200MHZ standard that is not being by-passed and suppliers are looking at "CAT 8" replacing CAT 7. Back in the mid 1990's the standards went briefly from CAT 3 to CAT 4- which was soon bypassed to CAT 5 . CAT 7 standards are being bypassed by the EIA TIA and will now be "CAT 8".
