Remote Gateway

Raisecom provides a complete family of Fast Ethernet over 1 E1 interface converters, and Fast Ethernet over 4/8 E1 inverse multiplexers for accessing Ethernet services of 2Mbps~16Mbps. Both standalone version and modular version (working in RC001/002 series chassis) are available. Customers also have options of using electrical or optical Fast Ethernet port to fit in their local network environment.

We use these interface converters and inverse multiplexers point-to-point or deploy them opposite to central aggregation gateways. All point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications formed by Raisecom EoPDH family members are under the network management of Raisecom NView NNM system.

Fast Ethernet over 4/8E1 Inverse Multiplexer (Remote Terminal)

The RC953 remote terminal series is designed to connect Fast Ethernet networks across 4E1 or 8E1 circuits respectively. RC953 remote terminal devices are always installed at the customer premise site to connect Fast Ethernet traffics and carry them onto existing E1 circuits. They are capable of providing a real Ethernet throughput of 8Mbps (4E1 inverse multiplexing) and 16Mbps (8E1 inverse multiplexing) respectively. And of course, they are automatically adapted to lower data rates from 2Mbps, in case that less E1 circuits is employed.It is act as an SNMP passive device, which requires active device such as RC953E-3FE16E1 and RC953-GESTM1 to realize remote management. All the user configurable functionalities can be set through the NNM system.
