| MRV Products EM316EF - Ethernet/Fast Ethernet Copper to Fiber Media Converters  The new Fiber DriverT Ethernet/Fast Ethernet Copper to Fiber (EM316EF) media converter provides the ability to extend the reach of LANs using new or existing fiber plant. It is designed so that any application can benefit from the flexibility of managed OE (Optical Ethernet) services. The device supports conversion between: 10Base-TX and 10Base-FL 100Base-TX and 100Base-FX The Fiber Driver product family from MRV Communications provides more fiber media conversion solutions with greater distances and better manageability than any product line available today. The EM316EF is offered with Singlemode (SM) and Multimode (MM) optics, including our advanced MMX (Multimode Extender) technology. Links distance of 110 km or more can be reached over SM fiber, and up to 8 km over MM. Single fiber solutions are available with link distance of up to 100 km. The Ethernet/Fast Ethernet Copper-to-Fiber media converter unit is compatible with any IEEE 802.3 compliant network device. It supports Autonegotiation of both speed and duplex, and allows for these parameters to be set manually using the provided on-board jumpers. The EM316EF is a single slot module and can be deployed in any powered Fiber Driver chassis. It is SNMP manageable through our own MegaVision Web or any SNMP-enabled NMS (Network Management System) when paired with a Fiber Driver Network Management Module (EM316NM). |
