| MRV Products WDM45 - 4-Channel, 4-Wavelength CWDM Systems  The Fiber DriverT WDM45 line of Wave Division Multiplexers provide solutions to both distance and fiber limited connections. Wave Division Multiplexing (WDM) is a cost-effective way to use existing fibers more efficiently and avoid the cost associated with installing new fibers. By multiplexing different optical wavelengths onto the same fiber, four Full Duplex channels can be transmitted over one fiber pair instead of four pairs. WDM technology provides very high security between channels by using different wavelengths, thus maintaining physical separation between networks. Solutions for a wide range of applications are available including a WDM45 Single Fiber option (which will run all four channels over a single fiber strand), WDM45 repeaters (which retime and regenerate data, making it possible to repeat transmissions in multiple hops), as well as custom WDM45 configurations which can be ordered in combinations of different protocol inputs. All WDM45 models are available as either standalone units or as modules for the popular Fiber Driver chassis line. |
